Edmund Blampied(1886-1966)was born in Jersey. He studied at Lambeth School of Art, winning a prize for lithography in 1925 at the Paris International Exhibition. Known for his farming and rural subjects he developed an impressionist style as an illustrator in pencil and watercolour.
